Features

Everything Skap needs for a real first launch.

The product is built around a practical career workflow: understand your CV, find your gaps, choose what to learn, and keep a report.

Skill gap analyzer

Paste a CV and get missing skills ranked by severity, demand, and relevance to your target industry.

Resume evidence detection

See the skills already supported by your CV, so the report separates real strengths from gaps.

Industry inference

Leave the industry blank and Skap can infer a likely field from your experience, then benchmark against it.

Verified learning links

Top gaps can include real, URL-checked resources. The AI model never invents course links.

Downloadable reports

Copy, download, or print the final roadmap so the user can keep learning after the session ends.

Privacy-first logging

Usage logs store counts and status, not CV text, personal details, or private skill lists.

The real problem

You don’t know what you don’t know.

Job postings list tools and frameworks you’ve never heard of. You spend hours wondering what to study next — or worse, apply for roles you’re silently underqualified for.

01

Blind spots

Without an industry benchmark, you can’t see what you’re missing until a rejection tells you.

02

Wasted effort

Learning the wrong skill costs you weeks. Skap shows what employers actually want — ranked by demand.

03

No action plan

Knowing you have a gap is useless without a starting point. Top gaps ship with free verified links; every gap ships with ready search phrases.

How it works

Three steps. No account required.

Paste your CV, pick a target, and get a ranked skill-gap report in under a minute.

01

Paste your CV

Drop in your resume as plain text. It stays in your browser.

02

Pick your industry

Enter a target field, or let Skap infer it from your experience.

03

Get your gap report

See ranked skills you lack, severity, why they matter, and where to learn each — free verified links plus search phrases.

What you get

A complete learning roadmap

Your current skills vs. industry bar

Skap reads your CV and lists what you already have, then benchmarks it against what employers expect.

Ranked skill gaps

Every missing skill is prioritized by severity (critical → nice-to-have) and employer demand (rising → declining). Focus on what moves the needle first.

Verified links + search phrases

Your top gaps get free, URL-checked learning links (keyless Wikipedia by default) — never invented. Every other gap comes with 1–3 generic search phrases to copy into Google, YouTube, or any course platform.

Industry context + keywords

Understand the standards and breakthroughs shaping your field, plus the exact keywords to add to your CV once you learn.

Inside the report

A roadmap, not a vague AI answer.

Skap turns the analysis into a readable report with evidenced skills, missing skills, why each gap matters, search phrases, verified resources, and keywords to add after learning.

Before & after Skap

From guessing to a plan.

Without Skap

  • “What should I learn next?” — pure guesswork
  • Discovering gaps only when a rejection arrives
  • Generic “learn data” advice that goes nowhere
  • No sense of what employers actually weight

With Skap

  • A ranked list: learn this, then this, then this
  • Every gap scored by severity and demand
  • Free verified links on top gaps, search phrases for the rest
  • Industry keywords to add once you level up

Real wins

People who stopped guessing.

“I didn’t realize how much employers weighted SQL until Skap flagged it as critical. Three weeks later, I’m interviewing.”

Priya R.

Career switcher

“The search-query idea is genius. I stopped bookmarking random courses and just followed the plan.”

Marcus T.

Support to Data Analyst

“The report gave me words I could act on: gaps, keywords, and where to start learning without a paid course hunt.”

Amina K.

The hard line

You stay in control. Always.

Skap recommends what to learn — it never enrolls you in courses, never pays on your behalf, and never shares your CV with third parties. Verified learning links are real and URL-checked, but you always choose what to click.

  • No auto-enrollment in any course
  • Search queries — not invented links
  • AI-generated analysis, not career advice
  • Your CV is submitted only when you run analysis

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does Skap apply to jobs for me? +

No. Skap finds skill gaps and shows what to learn next — but it never submits applications, enrolls in courses, or pays on your behalf.

Will it invent skills or course links? +

No. The model can only suggest generic search queries — URLs are never part of its schema. Verified links come only from a real, URL-checked provider search (free Wikipedia by default), never from the model.

Do I need to be technical? +

Not at all. Paste your CV in a browser. No terminal, no configuration files.

How are the gaps ranked? +

The AI assigns severity and demand per gap; Skap’s code computes a priority score that determines the order. Same inputs always produce the same ranking.

What does it cost? +

Free to run: with no API key it uses the offline local analyzer plus keyless Wikipedia links. Add a GEMINI_API_KEY for AI-tailored analysis (typically fractions of a cent per analysis).

Is this professional career advice? +

Treat the analysis as AI-generated guidance to inform your learning decisions — not professional career or legal advice.
